Our Humble Abode : Master Bedroom

Nesting has pretty much taken over me. First it started out organizing every room, even the garage, and then I wanted to make Liam’s bedding, and now I’ve just gone crazy, and I’m not done yet. Part of it is just wanting to get our house together and feel more like our home, but along with it I am deep cleaning everything (the fridge was my task today), and just making sure that everything will be ready for Liam’s arrival.

While waiting for Brett to finish the stripes in the nursery, I started making a couple pillows for our room. Well actually I have made four. It’s really fun to go to the fabric store and then create something from what you get. I now looooove going into our bedroom, I feel like the pillows tie it all together.

Here is a reminder of what it looked like before.

One thing I love a ton about our home is the sloped ceilings. It feels like a cottage to me. 🙂

So I repositioned the furniture a bit, accommodating for the bassinet that we have for Liam.

As you can see, due to the many other projects that are top priority, Brett hasn’t had time to finish the dresser.

I love photographs

I love my bedding from West Elm!!! Add a few pillows made by me, and an awesome coverlet I got at the Quilt Shop at Gardner Village for a steal = a very cozy bed.

I bought this from Rod Works with a half off coupon that saved me a bundle, I love it. And the chair was from the DI and was able to have my friends dad recover it for me. 🙂

The striped pillow cover I made is nicely masking a damaged pillow that I just never could throw away. And my nightstand is actually a stand I got at Michael’s for a dollar b/c it’s missing a colored block. More of that to come…
